We are pleased to announced that we have signed film composers Jason Frederick and Steve Wright. Canadian born songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jason has recently relocated from Los Angeles to the UK and later this year ITV will screen the Hallmark/Granada thriller Murder Among Friends featuring his latest score. Other credits include The Replacements, the Disney animation series, Two Sisters for ABC Television, Good Chemistry for Warners, Gold Circle’s Dawg and 2B Perfectly HonestSteve was Head of Music at Mersey Television & Lime Pictures before leaving in 2007 to concentrate on his in demand career as a film composer. His first commission was LA Production’s Moving On for the BBC, followed this year by the 10-part series 2. Other credits include all the music and songs for Brookside, Grange Hill, Hollyoaks and the films The Lost Weekend, Double Take and Unfinished Business.

The King Is Dead, the new Talkback Thames series for BBC 3,  with music by Andrew Barnabas and Paul Arnold,  starts it’s run on Thursday September 2 at 10.30 in the evening.

Meanwhile: John Altman completed the features The Master Builder and Shoot On Sight starring Brian Cox, Greta Scacchi and Sadie Frost – both films recently premiered; Tim Atack scored Ricky Gervais’ first Hollywood movie as writer/director/star, The Invention of Lying, which received great reviews in the US and UK and went on to score Ricky’s new feature, Cemetery Junction which opened here April 16, after scoring the UK rom.com  Re-Uniting The Rubins for producer Jonathan Weissler and the thriller Dead Cert; Andrew Barnabas & Paul Arnold have written the music for the new Talkback Thames series The King Is Dead and have just completed Brink, a new video game by leading US producers Bethesda Softworks; Willie Dowling recently finished new Greenlit 3- part comedy drama Vexed which airs August 15 to 29 on BBC2, starring Toby Stephens; Matt Dunkley’s score for CBBC’s new drama series  Spirit Warriors attracted lots of critical praise, as did his orchestrations and conducting of the AR Rahman concert at The Royal Festival Hall on in April; Paul Heard’s score is a major feature of Formosa Film’s movie Clubbed now on general release; Belfast composer Neil Martin   scored  Hell’s Pavement for director Andy Kemp which is now on general release in the UK; Mike Moran has scored Blessed, for Storm Pictures, starring James Nesbitt and Natascha McElhone, which BBC 2  screened  on June 19 and the dvd is now available; Craig Pruess‘ music for the  BBC drama Moses Jones was hailed by one critic as “the oustanding soundtrack of the year”, and he received similar plaudits for the BBC’s Five Days, aired  this March; Ben Salisbury’s music for Inside The Perfect Predator for the BBC’s Natural History Unit has received unanimous praise.
